Pablo Picasso’s “Femme assise en costume vert” of Françoise Gilot, has hit the market for the first time in 35 years, and is scheduled to hit the auction block at the legendary auction house Sotheby’s, where it’s estimated that it could reach $18 million dollars.

The painting is from 1952 and is a portrait of Francoise Gilot, who will turn 100 this November. She was Picasso’s partner and muse for a decade. The pair had two children, Claude and Paloma.

After being purchased by the current owner at Sotheby’s in 1986, the painting will return to a Sotheby’s auction room on May 12.
