The latest release from the Carhartt WIP skate team, named “Precious” and skillfully directed by Joaquim Bayle, embarks on a 15-minute exploration of skateboarding in the United States. The team maneuvers through the suburban landscapes of Los Angeles and the bustling streets of New York.

“Now that I understand skateboarding a bit more, I wanted to pay tribute to its subversive form, its poetic form,”

– Joaquim Bayle

To encapsulate this emotion, a multisensory approach is embraced. The visuals are punctuated by the clicks of a shutter and black-and-white photography. Moments of contemplation are disrupted by the rhythmic sound of wheels on concrete, set against a soundtrack of sludge metal and synthwave.

Filmmaker Romain Batard, joined by Ryan Mettz and Trevor Owens, captures the artistry of skateboarders like Eddie Cernicky, Max Palmer,Noah Mahieu, Riley Pavey, Ibu Sanyang, Willow Voges Fernandes, Cambryan Sedlick, and more.

The release is complemented by an array of exclusive garments, already accessible on the Carhartt WIP website.
