Carhartt WIP and Paris based car dealership L’Art de l’Automobile, which is founded by Arthur Kar, have announced their first collaboration titled “KARHARTT“.
For this collection, Kar was inspired by the Carhartt WIP heritage in Detroit and Carhartt Inc.’s early history of producing its own vehicles in 1911. KARHARTT combines Kar’s design sensibilities with Carhartt WIP staples.
As a young man Arthur Kar skipped school to help his father whi was a mechanic, rebuild cars and the classic mechanic’s uniform was a constant, starting from this memory very dear to Kar and reworks it with a Michigan Coat and a Single Knee Pant in green, a color that dominates the capsule collection and that recalls the forests of Lebanon where Arthur grew up. The offer also includes two T-shirts and a series of accessories and gadgets all characterized by the KARHARTT logo. The capsule is completed by a mini wrench with the L’Art de l’Automobile branding.
The Carhartt WIP x L’Art de l’Automobile “KARHARTT” collection is available now, in selected stores and on the Carhartt-WIP website.
