Danny Trejo started his career in Hollywood with roles such as Cellmate # 2 and Inmate # 1, but quickly rose to the rank of more prominent bad guy roles in iconic movies such as’ From dusk ’till dawn‘, HEAT, xXx, The Devil’s Rejects and Grindhouse, and in 2010, he broke out as the lead actor in the movie Machete, a movie created on the back of a fictional trailer in Robert Rodriguez ‘Grindhouse.
Since then, Trejo has become a rising star in Hollywood, and now it’s time to tell his story, in the documentary Inmate #1 The Rise of Danny Trejo, which goes into depth with Trejo’s past and rise to fame.
Trejo is a rarity in Hollywood, he’s real: Real former criminal and real helpful, and those two things in combination, have been contributing factors to the whimsical bad guy today having over 400 credits on IMDB.
