Max Weiss (*1995) born in Berlin, Germany, is doing his Bachelor of fine arts at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK) in the class of Anselm Reyle.
Through an ironic approach, the subject is about the confrontation of the characters Larry and Gina with unpleasant events that characterize everyday life. Fears and worries such as relationship problems, rejection, loneliness and material hardships should have a lightness through which the viewer can reflect on them without falling into negative thoughts. By working with photos, the images always have a reference to the real world. The figures within the image are represented as some sort of dolls that only come alive trough theire eyes. With the airbrush a digital look is created which is broken up by oil elements and different materials.
