In celebration of its fifth anniversary, the Helsinki club scene’s hotspot, Post Bar, is excited to announce an exhibition that delves into the fabric of local art and subculture of the past five years through its iconic nightclub posters. The exhibition showcases the cultural and creative significance of these posters, which have transcended their original purpose and become coveted works of art in their own right.

Since their introduction together with the opening of Post Bar in 2018, these art prints have taken over Helsinki and evolved from a promotional medium, into a local pop-culture phenomenon and symbols of a bohemian ethos. Today the posters are spotted in the backgrounds of countless social media posts and apartment listing, dating profile pictures, and set designs of Finnish television dramas  –  taking on a life of their own and reaching a cultural impact far beyond the intimate confines of the Kallio nightclub.

Featuring over 50 artists from emerging Finnish talent to internationally known industry names, the entire archive of posters will be displayed in chronological order, allowing visitors to walk through the journey of the past five years in Helsinki club culture. In addition, the exhibition showcases a curated selection of original artworks behind the posters.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the artistic evolution of Helsinki’s legendary nightclub posters. The event will be held on, Hämeentie 11A, from June 8th to 15th, to experience this unique blend of contemporary art, cultural history, and the lively subcultural spirit of Helsinki.
