KITH has officially released their newest collaboration with New Balance on the 992 and 998 silhouettes, in its Spring 2 catalog.
This is a “five-shoe pack” according to KITH founder Ronnie Fieg, who has been snapping the silhouettes on his Instagram for the past few weeks.
Both the 992 and 998 feature dark gray suede and smooth, smooth leathers colored on a light blue mesh base. The midfoot ‘N’ logo is dressed in a vintage candle shade and bordered by a brighter blue trim.
The stencils and trims also keep the colors light. The main difference is the midsoles: the GEL 992 discs offer both heel and forefoot to add a dash of vitality and a world of NB-exclusive comfort. Meanwhile, the 998 uses a full ABZORB midsole, divided between dark and light gray tones. The signature “Made in the USA” embroidery is stitched on each tongue to underline the craftsmanship.
Of course, Fieg’s statement indicates that there are three more styles included in this “Steel Blue” set. Other posts have sparked a 990v2 and 997, but the fifth silhouette has yet to be revealed.
They will most likely be released on Saturday, May 23.
