    IKEA Art Event 2021

IKEA’s sixth Art Event collection has once again recruited 5 artists from around the world. As on previous occasions, the objective of this line is the creation of works of art that serve as household items at an accessible price for everyone.

This launch includes ten pieces, among them a watch designed by Daniel Arsham stands out. IKEA has also featured designs by Daniel Arsham (New York), Gelchop (Tokyo), Humans since 1982 (Stockholm), Sabine Marcelis (Rotterdam) and Stefan Marx (Berlin).

“We chose to work with different artists from around the world to reflect the diversity of art and design coming together,” says. “We want to show that being an artist or designer does not mean that you have to be in a box, you can work in different fields and that this new movement has had a profound impact on both design and the current art scene.”

    – Henrik Most, Creative Leader for IKEA Art Event

All pieces from the IKEA Art Event collection will be available from April this year.
