Braun continues to commemorate its 100 year anniversary, for which they has once again counted on the help of Virgil Abloh, with whom they recently launched the BC02 alarm clock. This time it’s the iconic Braun Wandanlage that has gotten a makeover. The Wandanlage was created in 1961, and has been reinvented for 2021 by Abloh, who has analyzed and explored the original designs, using his personal influences to create a piece of ‘functional art’ that still maintains the original principle. from Braun that good design is built to last.
At first glance, the most noticeable difference is the glossy finish of the 2021 version, which replaces the matte chrome of the original. As for technical specifications there are no details yet, but Braun ensures that it will delight the most demanding.
For the release, Virgil Abloh has remixed a track, available on his Soundcloud, and Braun has released a short film in which Abloh explains the design.
