Adidas and South Park has teamed up on the Campus 80 silhouette, inspired by Towelie, a character known for gaining special powers to celebrate 4/20.
The plush fabric on the upper is dyed ‘Chalk Purple‘ and is accented with white leather stripes and heel overlays to translate the look of the genetically engineered towel . The traditional tongue mark is replaced by the character’s eyes, which become bloodshot when exposed to UV light to achieve the effect of smoking.
Inside the sneaker you will find bold notations that say “Don’t forget to bring a towel” on the left side and “I have no idea what’s going on” on the right, two of his most famous phrases.
The adidas x Southpark Campus 80 will be released April 20, on the adidas website.
