Deepak Thapliyal, CEO of Chain, is back in the headlines after another monster NFT purchase. This time on CryptoPunk #5822, which he purchased for a record-breaking 8,000 ETH, or $23.7 million. The NFT whale is no stranger to huge purchases. Back in January he bought Mega Mutant Serum #69 for 1542 ETH or almost $6 million, and Back in December of 2021, he purchased Bored Ape #9452 for 347 ETH or $1.42 million. And these are just to name a few, in his extensive multimillion dollar collection.
