Stüssy has announced a new collection created in collaboration with the iconic Brooklyn hip hop duo, Gang Starr. The collection pays tribute to the group, on the occasion of hip hop’s 50th anniversary, and will be available later this week. DJ Premier and Guru, the legendary duo behind Gang Starr, are known for combining New York jazz and hip hop on their seven full-length LPs, making them one of the best duos in hip hop history. The collection features several T-shirts with iconic Gang Starr lyrics, including “Take It Personal” and “Daily Operation” from 1992. There are also garments featuring images of the duo, as seen on sound engineer and DJ Mo Yasin in the teaser.
The Stüssy x Gang Starr collection will be available on April 7, on the Stüssy website and stores, as well as select retailers.
