Fragment Design founder, Hiroshi Fujiwara, has been appointed CCO (Chief Creative Officer), of Japanese robotics manufacturer GROOVE X, on the same day as the futuristic company launched its new LOVOT 2.0 robots that mimic the characteristics of a small pet.
Fujiwara will be in charge of creativity for the LOVOT line. LOVOTs are small robots that were conceptualized by GROOVE X founder, Kaname Hayashi after his visit to a nursing home. By implementing a complex array of sensors including four microphones, sensors, and a 360-degree camera, LOVOTs can recognize their owners’ faces, detect brightness and temperature, and determine the direction of voices.
