Burberry x National Geographic Collaborate to Recreate Garments From Shackleton’s Polar Expedition

The Endurance Expedition, led by the indomitable Ernest Shackleton, is one of the greatest tales of survival in history. Trapped in the unforgiving Antarctic ice, Shackleton and his crew faced insurmountable odds, yet defied them all. Now, National Geographic‘s new documentary, ENDURANCE, brings this epic saga back to life.

To enhance the storytelling, the documentary has partnered with Burberry to recreate the expedition’s iconic clothing. From the resilient trench coats to the sturdy anoraks, each piece offers a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs faced by Shackleton and his men.

“It’s the greatest survival story ever told, but the world may have forgotten the details. “I thought I knew the story, but when we dove into it and had incredible access to the Scott Polar Research Institute and the Royal Geographical Society, all the new details helped us re-experience the journey that Shackleton and his team overcame,”
