LEGO and Star Wars are bringing back everyones favorite droid R2-D2, which is one of its bestsellers. The reason for the re-issue, is to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of LucasFilm.
The new set is a scale model of R2-D2, with 2314 bricks stands 31 centimeters high in pre-assembled condition. It features R2-D2’s hidden third leg, which can be pulled out from the bottom of the droid, and a lightsaber which is placed in a secret compartment inside its head, that is fully rotatable.
The 50th anniversary droid will arrive with an exhibition sign, and an exclusive R2-D2 minifig.
The Lego x Star Wars R2-D2 50th Anniversary, will released on May 1, on the LEGO website.
