Rocky’s Matcha and Awake NY, has teamed up on a new, exclusive matcha experience crafted by none other than Mr. Kiyoharu Tsuji.
Ever since the opening of Awake NY’s Lower East Side flagship store in May, under the creative direction of Angelo Baque, the urban apparel label has been delighting Midtowners with Rocky’s Matcha at its in-store bar. Now, this fashion brand is broadening its horizons by further enhancing its partnership with the premium matcha artisan.
In a previous collaboration, Rocky’s Matcha devised a year-round exclusive flavor for Awake NY: samidori matcha, meticulously cultivated in Uji, Japan by Mr. Kiyoharu Tsuji through shade-growing, hand-picking, and stone-grinding. In celebration of this unique connection, Awake NY has curated an entire range of clothing, a distinctive cup, and, of course, matcha.
Samidori, renowned for its sweet and creamy flavor, stands out as the smoothest of Tsuji-san’s matcha offerings. True to the Tsuji-san tradition, this matcha is produced through meticulous shade-growing, hand-picking, and stone-grinding techniques.
