The path to the release of the late great Pop Smoke’s first posthumous album was not easy. Since he was assassinated last February during a home invasion, all aspects that had to do with the already scheduled musical releases have been treated with great respect. With 50 Cent at the forefront of the project, he has been responsible of notifying each update of ‘Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon’, the project of the late MC.
Pop music belongs to everyone. This album is a celebration of where Pop was headed and where he wanted to be. The process of working on this album with all our friends, colleagues and heroes has been incredible and we thank everyone for their support.”
– Steven Victor, A&R of Pop Smoke
