Netflix has officially commissioned the legendary cartoon and game Sonic the Hedgehog as an animated series titled Sonic Prime. The series is Created in partnership with SEGA and have 24 episodes.
WildBrain’s studio in Vancouver will animate the series, while Man of Action Entertainment will serve as showrunners and executive producers. SEGA and WildBrain will team up for production, distribution and licensing.

Sonic Prime is scheduled for a premiere in 2022.
