Founder and creative director of Studio Fy7, Younes Bendjima, embraces his Algerian heritage as a defining aspect of his identity. His deep connection to his culture has always inspired him to incorporate it into his creative work. Now, in collaboration with New Balance, he unveils his second pair of sneakers, showcasing his artistic vision. The design draws inspiration from Bendjima’s journey to the Mediterranean coast, where he immersed himself in the laid-back lifestyle that characterizes the region, immortalizing its essence in his latest creation.
The sneakers are based on New Balance’s 576 model, featuring a black rubber sole, cushioned ENCAP midsole, and grey mudguards. The mesh fabric boasts an all-black design, while black suede overlays adorn the toe and heel. The heel area shines in silver, adding a touch of elegance. The iconic ‘N’ logo takes on a turquoise blue hue, paying homage to the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean.
The Studio FY7 x New Balance 576 collaboration is set to be released on June 23, exclusively on the Studio FY7 website.
