Shawn Stussy, founder of legendary skate and streetwear brand Stussy continues their partnership with Dior. This time celebrating the roots of the artist and designer as a surfer, with the launch of a joint surfboard. Designed in the “Gun” shape, known for its streamlined silhouette and a special fin to create a smoother and easier ride.
The board comes in a gray and ‘Ice Blue’ color palette on a white base, with one side featuring ‘Dior’ signature collage from the Fall 2020 men’s collection.
Speaking about the surfboard, Shawn Stussy explained his desire to create something “that looks like dancing in the ocean,” while Dior’s artistic director Kim Jones explained the origins of the collaboration. Shawn Stussy is one of my great heroes, he started as a surfer, making his own boards and painting his name on them. It was quite natural for me to ask him to work together on the first Dior surfboard. »
Limited to just 100 units, each part requires 72 hours of manual labor to be produced. There are currently no news on the release date.
