Michael Jordan’s documentary ‘The Last Dance’ dropped the first episode on Netflix earlier this week. And it’s already been a huge succes.
In the US, the documentary series is shown alongside ESPN, where in the US alone it hit a record of 6.1 million viewers, which is the record for most viewed documentary program in the history of the sports channel.
The Last Dance will run over 10 episodes, telling the story of the basketball legend’s impressive career as well as some of the other stars on the legendary Chicago Bulls lineup, such as Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman.
In the fall of 1997, Michael Jordan began his crazy journey with the Chicago Bulls, resulting in 6 NBA championships over 8 years – something that is in stark contrast to the tensions that existed between Jordan and the club’s lead up to the last season he played for the club – a season where then-Bulls coach Phil Jackson was dubbed ‘The Last Dance’.
The first installment of the series has received an impressive IMDB score of 9.6, and is highly recommended weekend entertainment! New Episodes drop every monday.
