The legendary Danish Roskilde Festival are preparing for life after COVID-19 and its looking like some great things are ahead. In a recent press release from Roskilde Festival’s CEO Signe Lopdrup she seems optimistic about 2021 after hearing about the new vaccine, which is due to be released around late December mid January-ish.
“It is a basic human need to meet and take part in the great, cultural communities. We need to believe that we can once again step into the free space and let ourselves be led by the many new impressions that a Roskilde Festival contains. With the latest knowledge, it seems closer than ever. We have been working intensely together across the entire live industry and with other healthcare experts for a long time. So when we publish new content today, it’s because we are eyeing a new and cautious optimism to be able to carry out a festival this summer. That’s why we want to tell you that there is something to look forward to. It is now that we must stand together if we are to go through the dark times we are in on the unity that we have something to look forward to.”
– Signe Lopdrup, CEO of Roskilde Festival
