Following their collaborations on the 911 SC and 964 Carrera models, Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche team up again for their third project. This time, the canvas is a 1986 Porsche 944, a front-engine, rear-wheel drive coupe produced from the early 1980s to 1991.
The 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo has been meticulously restored, featuring custom 17-inch gold teledial wheels, bespoke gold decals, and custom branding throughout the vehicle. The interior boasts perforated tan leather and brown sienna Alcantara for a touch of modern luxury. The restored car was unveiled on April 5th at the Aimé Leon Dore flagship store located at 224 Mulberry Street.
This collaboration goes beyond aesthetics. The car was restored by Porsche Classic in Germany, highlighting the shared passion for design and craftsmanship between both Porsche and Aimé Leon Dore. The gold color selection by Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis adds a unique touch. Furthermore, the car will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting Heart of a Child, a non-profit organization. The restored 944 is a perfect example of a classic Porsche model reimagined with a modern twist by Aimé Leon Dore, resulting in a unique and stylish car that will surely turn heads.
