Atari is pure O.G. when it comes to gaming, and while the brand of the original gaming console is not what it has been, the nostalgia effect is great. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that the current owners of the brand are doing what they can to share some gaming love.

The latest move is a big deal with the hospitality conglomerate GSD Group to launch a number of Atari-branded hotels in the United States. Atari Hotels is the name and the first hotel to open in Phoenix in mid-2020.

The hotels are designed by the GSD Group, in collaboration with Napoleon Smith II, the producer of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie reboot. Yup.

Atari Hotels says that their concept is all about empowering gaming experiences for people of all ages and that selected hotels will offer facilities that can support the execution of eSport events.

The hotel chain has also included Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak’s Innovation Fund, the Woz Innovation Foundation
