Chanel recently made a press-release on the luxury-brand’s website, explaining that it wants to maintain the wages of its employees and therefore give up partial unemployment.
Faced with the unprecedented health and economic crisis that is currently hitting the world, CHANEL, as a responsible and socially responsible company, has taken the decision, in agreement with the social partners, not to use the partial unemployment scheme in France. CHANEL thus undertakes, for a period of 8 weeks from March 16 to May 8, to maintain 100% of wages in France. “The goal? “Do not weigh on the public accounts, so that the French State can come in priority to help the most vulnerable companies and of course, also, to concentrate its resources on the Health system, the nursing staff and the organizations of relief to people.
