After their last Jamaican-inspired collaboration, Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh, collectively known as Art Comes First, have teamed up again with Fred Perry to dig deep into their archives and reinterpret classic pieces through a “rude boy” approach.

For this collaboration, the collective has turned to Dave Hendley, a photographer who captured the spirit of the “rude boy” culture in Jamaica and the UK in the mid-to-late 1970s, drawing inspiration from his work and applying his own style vision to Fred Perry.

Eye-catching patterns and colorful accents make their way onto the garments, as well as a three-color stripe across the chest or embroidered felt patches on garments ranging from bowling shirts to Harrington jackets to polo shirts.

The complete Art Comes First x Fred Perry collection is available now on the Fred Perry web store.
