There were many highlights from the Dior Men’s pre-fall 2020 show in Miami, but all the chatter is about the newly unveiled Air Dior AJ1. The brand’s artistic director Kim Jones made it official after the show, giving us more detailed looks at the soon-to-arrive sneaker. The Dior Air Jordan 1 High OG have been a year in the making and the end result will be made in Italy from Italian leather we’re accustomed to seeing on Maison Dior leather goods. Other details include hand-painted edges, original Dior Oblique jacquard swoosh and transparent soles with the Air Dior Wings and Dior logos.

This release not only marks the famed silhouette’s 35th anniversary but also sees the Dior Men’s collection show taking place in the United States for the first time ever. Jones had this to say about the collaboration:

“I love mixing together different worlds, different ideas — and Jordan Brand and Maison Dior are both emblematic of absolute excellence in their fields. To bring them together in this special collaboration is to propose something exciting and truly new.”
