Last Thursday, a select group of guests gathered within the iconic walls of the Espace Niemeyer, a modernist marvel designed by the legendary Oscar Niemeyer in 1971. Originally the headquarters of the French Communist Party, this architectural gem, with its distinctive retro-futuristic aesthetic, provided an unexpected backdrop for a decidedly non-political event: a French-style bingo game, or “la loterie.”
As numbered balls whirred through the pneumatic machine, a palpable sense of excitement filled the air. Lucky participants were rewarded with coveted prizes from the renowned fashion house, Jacquemus: chic hats, stylish scarves, elegant gloves, and of course, the brand’s signature handbags, each displayed like a work of art on a pristine white pedestal.
The highlight of the evening arrived when Simon Porte Jacquemus himself took the stage to present the grand prize: a 2,000 euro voucher to be spent at the brand’s flagship boutique on Avenue Montaigne. This extraordinary giveaway elevated the event to a truly unforgettable experience, merging fashion, history, and a touch of luck.
