Salomon and high-end Danish cycling brand Pas Normal Studios have teamed up for the first time. The protagonists of the collaboration is the Active Skin 8 bag and the XA Alpine 2 Advanced shoe.
The result has sought to explore the intersection of the city and nature with a set of products designed to integrate with daily routines on and off the bike. A cycling-specific hydration bladder, adapted from Salomon’s Active Skin 8 bag, as well as Pas Normal Studios’ version of the XA Alpine 2 Advanced shoe.
“We see the XA Alpine 2 Advanced shoe and Active Skin 8 bag as the perfect hybrid items, blending our lives on and off the bike. Between the city and nature, commuting, urban exploration and recovery after training and racing.– Karl-.Oskar Olsen, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Pas Normal Studios
We want to merge Salomon’s advanced functionality with our subtle, minimalist approach to design.”
– Karl-Oskar Olsen (Creative Director and Co-Founder of Pas Normal Studios).
The XA Alpine 2 Advanced is a lightweight athletic shoe designed to withstand occasional and often unpredictable harsh conditions. Its protective gaiter provides lightweight coverage for wet and cold environments, while the outsole is designed to stay firm on rough terrain. On the other hand, the Active Skin 8 bag features a close-fitting SensiFitTM vest design with soft fabrics with inner mesh to maximize comfort and includes an improved fit system. With strategic chest pockets and modular storage for flasks (includes 2 x 500ml flasks with 1 filter and 2 straws).
The Salomon and Pas Normal Studios collection will be available February 2, on the Salomon and Pas Normal Studios websites, as well as select stores.
