Shachaf Levy (b.1990), lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. He received his MFA from the Bezalel academy of art and design. Inspired by northern renaissance etching, American golden age superhero comics, and communist Israeli propaganda posters, his work deals with sexuality, fragile masculinity body dysmorphia. Through narrative paintings depicting the human body at its softest and harshest points, he explores the possibility of pain and pleasure.
