The cowboy boot has always carried a certain mythology. Dust, labour, stage lights, outlaw romance, rodeo codes, country music, biker culture, and the long shadow of American masculinity. In fashion, it never really disappears. It just keeps changing costume.
With the Ryder Boot, AMIRI takes that familiar Western shape and pulls it into a more polished, nocturnal register. The result is not a costume boot, or a heritage replica, but something closer to a trainer alternative with the posture of a dress shoe: sharp enough for evening, relaxed enough for everyday wear.
The silhouette is built around a pointed toe, a slim side-zip profile, and AMIRI’s signature Western-style heel. It keeps the recognisable attitude of the cowboy boot, but removes some of the literalness, making it feel less like ranch fantasy and more like a city shoe with old Americana running underneath it.
That tension is where Mike Amiri’s world often lives. His clothes have long been drawn to the mythology of Los Angeles: musicians, denim, leather, stage wear, classic cars, sunset decadence, and the blurry line between elegance and rebellion. The Ryder Boot fits directly into that universe. It feels like something worn between a hotel lobby, a backstage corridor, and a late dinner that becomes something else entirely.
The men’s and women’s versions carry subtle differences. Both share the pointed shape and narrow construction, but the women’s boot features an elongated shaft, angled collar, and oblique heel, while the men’s pair comes with a straighter collar and AMIRI gold detailing set into the stacked heel.
Material gives the boot its final attitude. The Ryder arrives in black calf leather and python-embossed leather across both lines, with an additional men’s version in soft brown suede. Each finish changes the mood: polished black for after-dark sharpness, python for stage-wear excess, suede for something warmer and more lived-in.
