Arthur Kar Transforms Porsche’s 25Y Carrera GT into a Cultural Capsule

by OS Staff September 28, 2025
    written by OS Staff

To celebrate 25 years of the Porsche Carrera GT, Arthur Kar, founder of L’Art de L’Automobile, takes on the creative direction of the 25Y Carrera GT capsule collection. The project reimagines the brand’s most legendary supercar as everyday fashion, merging automotive heritage with urban style.

For Kar, who began his journey as a mechanic at Porsche’s historic Sonauto Levallois workshop, the collaboration represents a return to his roots. His passion for the Carrera GT is deeply personal: he describes it as more than just a machine, but as a symbol of innovation, design, and pure emotion.

The capsule collection, debuting in Paris on September 25, 2025, translates the timeless design of the Carrera GT V10 into limited-edition clothing and accessories. Highlights include apparel, accessories, and the Puma Speedcat sneaker, each infused with Porsche’s engineering spirit and Kar’s sharp aesthetics.

This partnership builds on Kar’s long-standing relationship with Porsche: first the 968 L’Art (2021), a futuristic reinterpretation of a 1990s classic, and later the Tokyo capsule (2023). With Carrera GT 25Y, the collaboration reaches a new milestone, reflecting a shared culture of innovation and artistry.

As Stefan Buescher, CEO of Porsche Lifestyle, explains: “Arthur understands Porsche not only as a car manufacturer, but as a cultural force.” This vision positions Kar as a bridge between the automotive world and contemporary fashion, capable of resonating with a new generation of enthusiasts.
