The famous story of Conan the Barbarian is about to take off again as Netflix is currently considering its serial adaptation.

For many, Conan the Barbarian gave birth to the heroic fantasy story genre. The first short story was written in 1932 by Robert E. Howard who described a vivid mythical past with the news of the time. Howard created from scratch a Hyborian era, taking place between -14000 and -10000 BCE, between Europe and North Africa. The universe developed by the writer allowed the story of Conan the Barbarian to live on long after his death. 3 films have already been released around the story of Conan the Barbarian, including one with Arnorld Schwarzenegger in 1982 which remains the most significant. A few video games have also been released, but this serial project could totally revive the character. Netflix has just bought the rights from Conan and is currently looking for a showrunner to write its adaptation.

The Netflix series about Conan the Barbarian will not be released immediately, but there is a good chance that the project will succeed in the next few years.
