Spanning immersive outdoor structures, experimental spatial installations, and the flagship Downtown Design fair, the Middle East’s premier design festival takes over the Dubai Design District.
When the conversation shifts to the shifting architecture of global design, the compass inevitably points toward the desert.Returning for its monumental 12th edition from November 3 to 8, 2026, Dubai Design Week is once again transforming the Dubai Design District (d3) into an open-source laboratory for human connection, material experimentation, and cross-cultural dialogue.
Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the week-long festival brings together international powerhouses and regional vanguards. From Downtown Design—the Middle East’s leading contemporary design fair—to radical outdoor commissions like NAO Architects’ winning Three Gardens and a Room, the programming interrogates the sensory “atmospheres” of our shared public spaces.
With the festival’s signature commissioning program Abwab shifting into a group exhibition exploring non-verbal language under the banner In Other Words, Dubai Design Week continues to solidify its status as the heartbeat of contemporary creative exchange in the region.
