Introducing the Marni x Erykah Badu limited-edition capsule collection, a collaborative effort between Marni’s creative director Francesco Risso and renowned American singer-songwriter Erykah Badu. The collection is an exclusive part of Marni Jam, a program that encourages the Marni community to engage in dialogues and experiential exercises. The designs embody the distinctive styles and sensibilities of Risso and Badu, blending Marni’s artisanal values with their own unique aesthetics.
The collection comprises women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and footwear that showcase luxurious craftsmanship and couture treatments. The designs incorporate a combination of materials such as leather, velvet, and wool, providing an intense tactile experience. The textures, colors, and decorations reflect the personal collaboration between Risso and Badu.
The campaign for MARNI x ERYKAH BADU was directed and styled by Badu and shot by Sergio Cattivelli in Dallas, Texas. The images capture the spiritual and creative essence of the collection.
