KENZO and Futura 2000 Expand Their Creative Dialogue with a New Collaborative Capsule

    written by OS Staff

The creative dialogue between KENZO and Futura 2000 continues to evolve, entering a fresh phase that expands the boundaries between art, street culture, and luxury design. For this new release, KENZO Artistic Director NIGO once again joins forces with the New York graffiti pioneer, transforming Futura’s futuristic visual universe into a vibrant capsule that captures the pulse of contemporary streetwear while staying rooted in the brand’s Parisian heritage.

At the heart of the collaboration lies a collision of symbols—Futura’s “Pointman” figure, first introduced during the artist’s groundbreaking work of the 1980s, meets KENZO’s Boke Flower, an emblem of the house’s new era. The result is an unexpected conversation between form and identity, where hand-drawn typography, rendered in Futura’s signature script, reimagines the KENZO Paris logo with a distinctly urban edge.

Each garment in the collection becomes a canvas for creative exchange. The lineup features knitted pieces, jersey layers, and a tailored coach jacket, balancing functionality with art-driven design. These items not only showcase Futura’s graphic dynamism but also reflect NIGO’s deep understanding of how streetwear and craftsmanship can coexist within a single aesthetic language.

More than a collaboration, this capsule represents a continuum of influence—a bridge linking New York’s graffiti scene, Japanese street fashion, and Parisian couture sensibility. It demonstrates how two visionary forces can reinterpret their own histories to produce something bold, youthful, and timelessly modern.

Now available worldwide in stores and online, the latest KENZO × Futura 2000 edition reaffirms that artistic legacy and innovation can thrive side by side, transforming fashion into a shared cultural language that speaks across continents.

    Ph. KENZO
