Since 1998 Tom Sanks has been synonymous with solid war movies, when he starred in Saving Private Ryan directed by Steven Spielberg. The duo later got together and created the legendary TV series Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
And now he is the lead author, screenwriter and producer on a new World War II tale, which is based on the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd.
Sony Pictures just dropped the first trailer for the movie, which goes by the name, Greyhound, where the enemy are German submarines.
The movie follows Captain Ernest Krause, who leads a squad of 37 Allied ships across the North Atlantic, all being pursued by Nazi submarines – the trailer shows them move out into territory where they will not be able to receive air support for 5 long days.
