Drawing inspiration from the vibrant Turkish punk scene, the brand pays homage to its cultural roots while infusing a contemporary twist.
A key influence behind this collection is the iconic Turkish punk artist, Tünay Akdeniz. Akdeniz’s distinctive style, characterized by a rebellious attitude and unconventional aesthetic, has left an indelible mark on the Turkish punk movement. This inspiration is evident in the collection’s relaxed silhouettes, such as oversized bomber jackets and sweatshirts adorned with punk-inspired spikes.
The brand’s reinterpretation of traditional Turkish garments, like the kilt, is another standout feature. By replacing the classic tartan with traditional Turkish patterns, Les Benjamins seamlessly blends heritage and modernity.
As the brand’s creative director, Bünyamin Aydin, explains, “To create meaningful movements, it’s essential to reconnect with your origins. I wanted to revitalize these Turkish cultural treasures and introduce them to a new generation.“
