HOKA and MAAP Link Up for a High-Performance, Street-Ready Tecton X2 Collaboration

HOKA has officially unveiled its latest cross-discipline collaboration, teaming up with Australian cycling powerhouse MAAP for a limited-edition take on the Tecton X2, blurring the lines between endurance gear and elevated streetwear.

Born from a mutual respect for design precision, high-performance engineering, and lifestyle adaptability, the project unites HOKA’s running DNA with MAAP’s cult-favorite cycling aesthetic. “This collab is as pure as it gets,” said Thomas Cykana, HOKA’s Global Collabs Director. “We both obsess over the fusion of art and science in sport—and now lifestyle.”

The centerpiece of the partnership is the Tecton X2 in MAAP’s signature “limeade” colorway. Built on HOKA’s dual carbon plate system for responsive propulsion, the silhouette is peppered with reflective details, hot melt overlays, and splatter graphics—a clear nod to MAAP’s high-visibility cycling apparel and bold visual identity.

Launched in 2014, MAAP has carved out a name for itself by reimagining the intersection of cycling culture and contemporary fashion, thanks in part to co-founders Jarrad Smith and Oliver Cousins, who came from skate and surf subcultures. “We’re seeing a shift where movement and fashion increasingly go hand-in-hand,” said Misha Glisovic, MAAP’s Chief Creative Officer. “This drop represents that energy.”

To celebrate, community-focused events will roll out globally on July 12, hitting Melbourne, LA, and Berlin, with the collaboration releasing exclusively at MAAP stores on July 11, and globally online at MAAP.cc and HOKA.com on July 15.
