The Italian luxury brand Bulgari, has just introduced the worlds thinnest mechanical watch, the Octo Finissimo Ultra, with a thickness of only 1.80mm. It arrives with integrated NFT technology, that provides a digital proof of ownership of the $440.000 luxury timepiece. It is limited to only 10 pieces, and the owners will be able to scan a QR code which takes them to the NFT system, and view its history, concept, design sketches and manufacturing process.
In order to get the record as the worlds thinnest mechanical watch, the design team had to reinvent the dial from scratch and use the finest sandblasted titanium and tungsten carbide known to exist.
