Patta and Rapha reunite for the second chapter of their powerful collaboration, unveiling a limited-edition cycling collection that merges high-performance functionality with bold streetwear aesthetics. This release not only pushes the visual boundaries of cycling gear but also strengthens the duo’s shared mission: increasing representation of people of colour (POC) in cycling.
Building on the momentum of their first collaboration, which introduced the Patta Cycling Team, this new drop continues to fuse technical excellence with cultural storytelling. At the heart of the collection lies the phrase “LOBI LIBI”, Surinamese for “love life,” encapsulating the project’s deeper ethos—a celebration of community, joy, and freedom found through cycling.
As Anna McLeod, Senior Partnerships Manager at Rapha, explains, the collection encourages riders to embrace the pleasure of movement, not just performance. It’s about “getting out there just for the love of it,” whether it’s exploring a city, catching a sunrise, or simply cruising with friends.
The collection includes a mix of riding apparel, accessories, and off-bike essentials, designed to perform on the saddle but also fit seamlessly into everyday life. Standout lifestyle pieces like cotton hoodies and T-shirts blur the lines between technical gear and urban style, making them versatile staples on and off the road.
Developed with Patta’s Creative Director Vincent van de Waal, the collection is anchored in Rapha’s elite-level Pro Team silhouettes, including Aero Jerseys, Training Jerseys, Bib Shorts, and Cargo Bib Shorts. Each item is crafted with intentionality, from fit to feel, echoing Patta’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and self-expression in sport.
A visually rich campaign draws inspiration from street photography and everyday motion, positioning the apparel in real-life settings beyond competitive racing. It highlights the diverse stories and personalities that fuel the cycling world, anchored by Patta’s enduring motto: “The P is Still Free”—a call for accessibility and openness in the culture.
The PATTA + RAPHA collection will be available Friday May 23rd May on patta.nl, the Patta mobile app as well as in the Patta chapter stores
