Patta and Alpha Industries has unveiled a new limited-edition MA-1 bomber jacket as the latest collaboration between the two brands. This release coincides with Patta’s 20th anniversary celebrations and serves as the grand finale of the year’s exclusive anniversary drops. Unlike previous collaborations, which were exclusive to Patta’s local chapters, this jacket will be made available globally through an online-exclusive launch.
The MA-1 bomber jacket is renowned for its boxy fit and iconic orange lining, originally designed for military purposes. Over the decades, it has evolved into a menswear staple, embraced by various subcultures, including grunge, hip-hop, and rave, making it a timeless cultural piece.
This special edition jacket introduces a vibrant silver color, a bold departure for the Patta x Alpha Industries collaborations, though silver is already a part of Alpha Industries’ core collection. The jacket also highlights Patta’s key chapter cities: Amsterdam, London, Milan, and the latest addition, Lagos, which is featured on the sleeve.
To celebrate the launch, Patta collaborated with director Safi Graauw to create a campaign film, complemented by a four-part photography series. The visuals pay tribute to the distinctive energy of each Patta chapter city. This global release underscores the significance of the collaboration while spotlighting Patta’s cultural and geographical influence.
