The Japanese billionaire art collector Yusaku Maezawa will be auctioning off one of his Basquiat’s at Phillips auction house, where you will be able to pay with cryptocurrency. To be more precise, we’re talking about Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Untitled”, from 1982. It is considered to be one of the greatest masterpieces of the modern era, and estimated to be worth $70 million. Maezawa owns another “untitled” Basquiat, also from 1982, which he purchased back in 2017, for a record breaking $110 million.

Check out Phillips website for more information about the auction.

Maezawa’s Jean-Michel Basquiat’s “Untitled” auction will start on May 18.

Changing up my art collection for my future museum. I’ll be auctioning off the red Basquiat, payment in cryptocurrency welcome. Plan to display the blue in my museum.
