Argentinian-born designer Aitor Throup, a 44-year-old trailblazer, has firmly cemented his status in the Latin American fashion landscape through his innovative approach to design. Known for pushing the boundaries of dystopian menswear, Throup has made waves through high-profile collaborations with Stone IslandNike, and G-Star RAW. Now, he’s capturing renewed attention with a long-awaited return to Umbro, marking their third creative partnership after more than a decade apart.

Throup originally made headlines with his first Umbro collaboration for the 2010 England World Cup kits, launched under the brand’s “Tailored by Umbro” initiative. Their last joint project in 2011 saw Throup reimagining traditional football apparel with his signature, futuristic aesthetic.

This revived collaboration is slated for a Spring 2026 launch, to be introduced in partnership with Italian streetwear powerhouse Slam Jam, promising a new chapter in experimental sportswear design.
