AURALEE and New Balance have struck gold with their latest collaborative 475 sneaker, a masterful blend of nostalgia and modern craftsmanship. Launched as part of AURALEE’s Spring/Summer ‘25 collection, the 475 debuts in two evocative colourways—Vintage Grey and Vintage Yellow—mirroring the brand’s signature faded pastel hues. Drawing inspiration from 1980s running shoes, the 475 captures the essence of deadstock footwear, with colors that evoke natural fading and tanning from prolonged sun exposure, a nod to the allure cherished by collectors.
The sneaker’s upper combines premium suede and mesh, offering a tactile and breathable finish. New Balance’s iconic ‘N’ logo adorns the sidewalls and tongues, while collaborative branding on the insole underscores the partnership. The vintage-inspired design shines through in the uneven application of color across panels, enhancing the shoe’s weathered, authentic charm.
Set for release on Friday, May 16, the AURALEE x New Balance 475 will be available through AURALEE and New Balance’s online stores, as well as DSM Ginza and Kith Tokyo. This capsule redefines sneaker culture by fusing heritage aesthetics with contemporary design, cementing the duo’s winning formula.
