Levi’s and New Balance pay homage to the vibrant world of mountain biking in their latest joint venture.
In a nod to the rich culture of mountain biking and the picturesque Marin County, the newest line seamlessly blends Levi’s fabrics into the iconic New Balance MT580 silhouette. Originally introduced in 1996, the recently reintroduced MT580 showcases a trail-inspired motif complete with RollBar technology. Its midsole incorporates C-CAP for enhanced forefoot support and PU in the heel, ensuring a blend of enduring stability and flexibility. As a distinctive touch, each shoe commemorates the 150th anniversary of the 501 jeans by integrating Levi’s renowned Shrink-To-Fit denim.
Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics and traditional styles of bicycles from that era, the collaboration presents itself in a duo of unique colorways. The Grey Blue rendition, constructed with a nubuck upper, showcases Levi’s denim dyed on the toe box and side panels. Meanwhile, the Beige Black variant, featuring a plush suede upper, seamlessly integrates washed black Levi’s denim on the toe box and side panels. Encased in exclusive packaging that narrates the genesis of mountain biking, each shoe proudly exhibits the iconic red tab and is accompanied by three distinct lace sets.
The new Levi’s x New Balance collection is set to hit the market on December 6, on the Levi’s website, followed by New Balance on December 7.
