New Balance is resurrecting an iconic silhouette – the 1000 model, originally born in 1999. This time capsule on your feet stays true to its Y2K roots, with a gleaming metallic gray coat that feels like it just materialized from a cyberpunk dreamscape. The classic mesh construction keeps things breathable, while a cutting-edge forefoot cushioning system ensures comfort that wouldn’t be out of place on a spaceship.
But New Balance isn’t just bringing back a relic; they’re breathing new life into it. British rapper Dave, a rising star with a sound as innovative as the 1000 itself, joins the brand’s ambassador squad. Dave fronts the electrifying new campaign, captured through the lens of Ewen Spencer, an artist whose work reflects the raw energy of British youth culture. The campaign, masterfully orchestrated by creative directors Elliot Elder and George Muncy, promises to be a visual and sonic explosion.
