One Block Down Turns a C.P. Company Classic Into a Study in Black

There’s a certain kind of garment that doesn’t need reintroduction, it just needs reframing. This season, One Block Down does exactly that, casting one of C.P. Company’s most recognizable silhouettes in total black, and letting the absence of colour do the talking.

At the centre of the project sits the Goggle Jacket, a piece that has long transcended seasonal relevance. Originally conceived under the brand’s innovation-driven ethos, the jacket’s built-in lenses — embedded into the hood — became shorthand for a generation obsessed with technical experimentation, terrace culture, and utilitarian design codes. It’s a garment that carries history on its seams.

Rather than tampering with its architecture, One Block Down approaches the icon with restraint. The new iteration arrives drenched in black, sharpening the jacket’s contours and muting its more theatrical details. The goggles remain, but they feel more surgical than statement — less spectacle, more precision. In stripping away chromatic distraction, the collaboration underscores what made the design endure in the first place: structure, function, and identity.
