For the Autumn/Winter 2025–26 season, Stone Island continues to push the boundaries of textile innovation through an experimental process that transforms technical precision into visual alchemy. The brand applies a corrosive treatment to its signature Nylon Reps-TC, an ultralight yet densely woven fabric known for its durability and resistance. This material is first resin-coated to provide protection against wind and water, laying the foundation for its distinctive surface transformation.
Each garment is individually dyed with specialized pigments, then subjected to a corrosion phase achieved through hand-painting and spray techniques. As the color dries, the chemical reaction begins to erode the surface layer, revealing complex tonal variations and a textured, weathered patina. Finally, the piece is washed to neutralize the process, fixing the fabric’s unique final appearance — ensuring that no two jackets are ever identical.
The result is a fusion of chemistry, craftsmanship, and design, where technical outerwear becomes an art form shaped by decay and precision — a true reflection of Stone Island’s philosophy of innovation through experimentation.
