Marithé + François Girbaud, the French pioneers of experimental denim, are stepping into the spotlight with a fresh collaboration alongside Supreme for the Spring 2025 season, bridging their avant-garde legacy with mainstream hype. Since their founding in the early 1970s, the duo shook up the fashion world with innovative washes and boundary-pushing designs, cementing their name with the iconic X-Pocket and the unforgettable Shuttle Jeans. Those ‘90s staples, inspired by space suits, redefined denim with a futuristic edge that still resonates today.
For this Supreme capsule, the New York titan digs into Girbaud’s rich archive, remixing their technical DNA with Supreme’s signature oversized aesthetic and the gritty skate and streetwear codes that fuel its cult following. The result? A lineup that’s equal parts nostalgia and now, featuring standout pieces like the Leather Flight bomber jacket, a rugged denim trucker jacket, a bold hockey T-shirt, a range of jeans, and a handful of accessories. Think aged denim, loose silhouettes, and punchy graphics—a perfect mashup of Girbaud’s experimental roots and Supreme’s urban swagger.
Set to drop globally on April 3, this collection isn’t just a throwback—it’s a bold reimagining that fuses two powerhouses, proving Marithé + François Girbaud still have plenty of fuel in their tank to ignite the streetwear scene.
